    • Incorporates Xerox Full Width Array (mechanism inside the engine), which is advertised as offering automatic color control and media alignment
      • User activates procedures which print out target sheets

        • Automatic Image to Media Alignment (registration correction)
        • Print Server Calibration – Automated Color Quality Suite (set gray balance)
        • Advanced Profiling
      • Sheets are scanned by the Full Width Array inside engine, and measurements, calculations and corrections are performed automatically
        • For color calibration, external spectrophotometer is still provided to users

  • Xerox’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Tom Maddison, announced that after several years of frozen pay for many of its employees, it will do a company-wide pay review that will start in 2015.
    • “Not everyone will get an increase. This new annual process will focus pay increases on employees whose pay is low compared to market rates and who are higher performers.”

 

  • Xerox’s future is analyzed by Zack’s Investor Service:

    • During the Mobile Pwn2Own Hacking Competition in Tokyo, Japan, hackers demonstrated how they were to successfully compromise Apple iPhone 5S, Samsung Galaxy 5, LG Nexus 5 and Amazon Fire smartphones.
    • The United States Postal Services announced it was target of hackers, affecting an unknown number of employees and customers. The FBI is investigating
    • The Office of Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Kypuros in San Antonio, TX announced that an unknown number of patients had their PHI exposed when an employee placed a bunch of paper records in a trash bin behind a local church.
    • Anthem Blue Cross of California exposed an unknown number patient’s PHI when it inadvertently included the info in an advertising email blast.
    • Cone Health of Greensboro, NC alerted 2,076 patients that their PHI was exposed when it inadvertently sent out a mailing to wrong addresses.
    • Visionworks, a division of Highmark Inc. of Pennsylvania, announced that a computer server went missing, and may have exposed PHI of an unknown number of patients.
    • Bon Secours Kentucky Health System notified 700 patients that their PHI was illegally access by a former employee.
    • Central Dermatology Center of North Carolina announced that its server was hacked, affecting an unknown number of patients.
    • Mount Sinai Beth Israel of New York announced that a laptop computer was stolen from a staff room, exposing PHI of 10,790 patients.
